The Italian Wine Shop LTD is owned and operated by Angelica Sykes, & Managing Director, Paul Sykes. The Italian Wine Shop LTD is headquartered in London, UK, with all logistics and warehousing based in Leeds, UK.

The Italian Wine Shop LTD acts as an importer and retailer.

Legal Age Terms

You must be 18 yrs old to buy alcohol in the UK. We are owned, operated and sell only within the UK. We will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18 years old. 

When you place an order with The Italian Wine Shop LTD, you are confirming that you are at least 18 years of age. We reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this and we may ask for proof of age. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age at any point in the buying journey. You may also be asked for proof of age upon delivery by our nominated courier partners.

General Terms

The Italian Wine Shop LTD does not guarantee availability of all items or specific vintages on our website. While we work diligently to ensure stock is kept up to date, due to the fragility of glass bottles, it’s possible items that appear available may become unavailable before your order is fulfilled. In the unlikely event that an item is unavailable after you’ve placed your order, we will contact you directly. We will offer you either – a suitable replacement or another acceptable arrangement for the completion of your order, or a refund if either option isn’t agreeable. In the event that the vintage/year listed is no longer available, we may first substitute the next available vintage. Please state in the notes at checkout or via email if you do not want another vintage; if you fail to state this in the notes we can still accept returns in accordance with our usual terms.

We reserve the right to refuse any order.

We offer orders in volumes of 1 bottle, 3 bottles or 6 bottles. You must order in these values; however, please note your orders may arrive separately if you order 2 bottles, or 4, or 7 – as an example. 

Payment Terms

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept Clearpay.

All card charges are processed via an independent payment processing provider with the highest encryption standards. We do not have access to customer card data.

We accept payment on our website by American Express, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro and other major Debit Cards.

Our pricing is in Pounds Sterling (GBP £) and prices inclusive of UK Value Added Tax (VAT) in addition to any and all duties. The price you see as stated on the website, is the price you’ll pay at checkout.

Given we act as the importer and source the wine direct from our suppliers, all subsidiary costs are included in our list prices. 

Delivery Terms

We currently only support orders with UK delivery. We deliver to all UK addresses without restriction. 

If you are based outside of the UK, please email us on info@theitalianwineshop.co.uk and tell us more about which wines you’re interested in, we are always open to conversations, and we will do our very best to accommodate you. 

We work with a Bonded Warehouse supplier based in Leeds, who fulfil the safe storage of our wines as well as facilitating the pick, pack and dispatch service on our behalf. 

All our wines are inclusive of postage and packaging fees, and for said P&P fulfilment, we use a DPD special delivery service that operates on 48hr delivery lead times during business days. This could be longer over weekends and public holidays. For more information on your delivery time when an order is placed during the weekend or public holidays, please contact info@theitalianwineshop.co.uk and quote your order number. 

Given we use the DPD 48 hr special delivery service and they are a third-party partner, you will receive an order confirmation from us at The Italian Wine Shop, but once your goods have been dispatched, all communications will come from DPD. Please watch out on your emails for notifications directly from DPD with your tracking number and delivery details.

Return Terms

Faulty Items

We aim to supply our wines in perfect condition however, if any wine arrives to you in a faulty condition, we will provide a full refund or replacement; this is assessed on a case-by-case basis based on availability. This does not affect your statutory rights. We may require faulty bottles to be returned to us, but we will confirm on email.

Broken Items

Faulty bottles and their contents should be retained until a conclusion is reached on the course of action to be taken.

Once the goods have been received and checked, all refunds will be made within 30 days.

In case of breakage of any bottle upon delivery, you must notify us on info@theitalianwineshop.co.uk within 24 hours. Upon notification, you may choose to either return the broken bottles or the entire case.

Returned goods should be sent in the original box in which you received your goods.

Upon receipt of the broken bottles, we shall either refund your card for their value or replace them free of charge, depending on your preference.

All returns, either due to breakage or cancellation of the order, shall be arranged by a courier of The Italian Wine Shop.

Cancellation

You may cancel your order until the goods have been dispatched. Once you have received tracking details from DPD we will no longer be able to cancel your order. Please contact us to info@theitalianwineshop.co.uk.

Should you decide to return your order after receipt of the goods, all charges will be refunded to your card as soon as the goods are returned to us in a resell condition and in the original box in which you received the goods. 

The returns and cancellations policies listed above do not affect your statutory rights.

Rules Of Engagement 

Any comments, feedback or complaints regarding our service can be heard via info@theitalianwineshop.co.uk. Customer service and satisfaction are of the highest priority for us and we want to ensure all customers are delighted with the service and experience.

All content is our own or we own the rights to use the content. This includes all images and videos on our site. Any use of our content without credit will fall under copyright infringement laws or intellectual property laws. 

Any abuse to our staff will not be tolerated, any lude or inappropriate comments about any subjects related to The Italian Wine Shop will be blocked and deleted and prevented from ordering.
